I work as a Financial Controller for a construction and contracting group based in Bahrain, overseeing the financial operations of multiple entities under the group. The company is involved in construction, contracting, and related support activities, operating in compliance with Bahrain regulations and IFRS standards.

My main role includes full financial control and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, and cost control for ongoing projects. I am responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), managing audits with external auditors, and ensuring timely statutory and management reporting.

I handle Bahrain VAT compliance end-to-end, including registration, filing, reconciliation, and direct coordination with the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR), as well as working closely with audit firms such as PwC. I also supervise accounting teams, strengthen internal controls, support senior management with financial analysis and decision-making, and ensure compliance with local laws and corporate policies.
