Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, addressing their inquiries, and assisting them with their purchases. Cashiers should be friendly, approachable, and able to handle customer complaints or concerns professionally.
Payment Processing:
Receive payments from customers in various forms, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, vouchers, or digital payment methods.
Accurately calculate the total amount due, process the payment, and provide the customer with the correct change, receipt, or digital confirmation.
Cash Handling:
Handle cash transactions by accepting cash payments, counting cash, and ensuring that the amount received matches the purchase total.
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and reconcile it at the end of the day. Adhere to cash handling procedures and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate supervisor.- Point of Sale (POS)
Operation:
Operate the cash register or POS system to scan or manually enter the prices and quantities of items purchased by customers.
