Roles and Responsibilities:
Database Installation and Configuration:
- Install and configure Oracle database software on various operating systems.
- Create and maintain database instances according to organizational requirements.
- Implement and manage database security measures.
Performance Tuning:
- Monitor and optimize database performance.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct regular performance testing and tuning.
Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
- Plan and execute recovery procedures in case of system failures.
Database Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as space management and index rebuilding.
Database Security:
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Manage user access and permissions.
- Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve databaserelated issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to address systemwide problems.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for databases, configurations, and procedures.
- Develop and update disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications & Skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Familiarity with various Oracle database versions.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in Oracle database installation, configuration, and administration.
- Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
- Ability to identify and resolve databaserelated issues efficiently.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other team members and convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Job Types:
Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
