Position Overview


Established in 1983, MicroCenter Group (MCG), Kingdom of Bahrain, is a full-service Surveying and Geospatial Technology company, ESRI GIS distributor, and GIS & Autodesk International training hub offering broad variety of specialized and innovative services, catering to a large number of audiences within Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, & Oman.


This is an opportunity ideal for self-employed, independent contracting professionals with fairly regular opportunities to work on Autodesk training solutions, CAD works, setting up of Autodesk /Esri Labs and classroom based instruction.

Willingness to gain certification by Autodesk as an instructor including passing relevant certification exams and attending the Autodesk instructor training class.

This position will be based in Bahrain.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build Autodesk / Esri Lab in the University.
  • Advice to the AEC companies and universities about how the Autodesk & Esri software can be used optimally in their projects and in educating the students for their job.
  • Analyse the needs of customers in order to offer the best possible service.
  • Prepare for each course to be taught under Autodesk /Esri Lab with the course descriptions in the unit descriptor.
  • Deliver quality classroom instruction.
  • Track and record grades.
  • Communicating expectations and providing feedback to students on their progress.
  • Conduct course/workshop evaluations as designed and requested by Division.
  • Good if instructor is able to facilitate and help create elearning content / Videos / other related material.
  • Evaluate students' progress often and share those evaluations with them promptly; and make suggestions on how students can improve.
  • Be available to students with concerns, be supportive and yet demanding of them in the light of the institution's objectives.
  • Technical software demos can also be included in your job package in due course

Desired Qualifications:


  • Bachelor / Master in Engineering / Architecture / Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with CAD & as Instructor
  • Knowledge in the field of drafting, GIS and BIM
  • Can produce drawings using CAD 2D and CAD 3D.
  • Skill in developing and presenting written and oral technical and nontechnical information for instructional purposes.
  • Good communication skills in English

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
