Responsibilities


The Senior Service Manager is a key role in support of the MENA(x-UAE) CTOO in implementing all strategic plans, monitoring deliverables, and the development of Fintech initiatives/partnerships.

It drives important initiatives, communication/tech learning, and coordinates key reporting.

Support and Governance

  • Support the MENA(xUAE) CTOO in development and execution of the team effectiveness and delivery of Operations & T&I priorities across MENA(xUAE), ensuring these are aligned to the business/functional strategies, Group People Strategy and AME / MENA(xUAE) Business Strategy.
  • Support the MENA(xUAE) CTOO in developing and imbedding in the team a highperformance culture
  • Develop and implement a regional/cluster engagement plan to improve and drive employee engagement
  • Implement and maintain structures to support effective corporate governance in AME region / MENA(xUAE) Cluster
  • Oversee the governance of projects and strategic and governance initiatives impacting the Cluster; holding the business and teams accountable for project delivery and ensuring alignment to Group standards; challenging the Group and Region when necessary
Communications and Learning

  • Work with Corporate Affairs in developing internal and external communication agenda, leveraging on social media to create market presence
  • Support the AME and Group Technology communication strategy
  • Building and improving communications within the region and with other key stakeholders to reinforce the understanding of the functions' best practices
  • Conduit on Tech learning and driving the adoption of recommended/minimum set of Tech topics learning required for transformation to Digital
Service Management and Resilience

  • Assure accuracy and maintenance of the catalogue of Applications (across Region by Market) including Business Criticality, Business Impact Assessment, Security Business Impact Assessment
  • Embed Service Management regime and develop simple view of Incidents and Impacts including regulatory reportable incidents
  • Service Level Management cross correlation and assurance of Service Level adherence to group IT MSA (IT Master Service Level Agreements)
Running fintech initiatives

  • The role holder is required to project manage the activities arising out of various Fintech initiatives that the AME region is working on with focus on coordination with the chosen Fintech entrepreneurs and other partners, including coordination for development and deployment of frameworks covering project governance, testing, interface definitions, change prioritization, quality of change, system parameter and code setup and training.
  • Coordinate the various Fintech initiative activities arising out of Bank's participation in the countries led accelerator programme
  • Work with and support the coaches in progressing the tasks to determine the opportunities
  • Coordinate with various Fintech entrepreneurs and support evaluation of business opportunities including scoring of various approaches and ideas
  • Scan the market for similar initiatives and develop market information and intelligence
  • Formulate Testing Model: covering interface testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing and user verification testing.
  • Recommend a Model Country Testing approach and deploy a hybrid model of centralized and incountry testing for the initiatives shortlisted for further evaluation/implementation
  • Coordinate preparation of change validation checklist and ensure that is deployed to validate every change before approving the change.
  • Organize Training as appropriate
  • Communicate weekly status report to MENA(xUAE) CTOO for senior stakeholders in the Cluster
HC and Budget Management

  • Support the MENA(xUAE) CTOO in development and execution of the people plans and HR priorities across MENA(xUAE), ensuring these are aligned to the business/functional strategies, global people strategy, Regional Priorities and Group People strategy
  • Ensure robust Headcount Management, in line with Corporate Plan
  • Manage productivity, headcount and cost according to organisation structure and capacity model
Risk & Control

  • Drive the closure or mitigation of operational risk issues in the cluster
  • Work with MENA(xUAE) and AME Client Journey members and other key stakeholders in countries and group to reinforce an effective control environment, and assist in resolving material country issues that are crossbusiness and/or crossfunctional in nature
