    Responsibilities
    1) Plan and deliver 24-30 hours teaching a
    week.
    c) Effective use of
    resources, by
    integrating appropriate
    resources and
    technology into
    lessons.
    d) Supervision of
    students
    (children/young
    people) before class
    and during break
    times.

    Delivery:
    a) Lessons delivered
    according to the
    lesson plan and
    include a range of
    resources and
    methods. Effective
    organisation skills,
    including preparation,
    organisation of
    materials and
    resources.
    b) Lessons should
    combine a range of
    interactive activities

    including:
    interactive

    games, websites,
    online stories, audio,
    films, activities and
    projects. Adaptations
    must be made when
    lessons are online.

    2) To prepare, lead a,
    grade student
    assessments.
    a)

    Assessments are to be devised and developed:
    placement tests,
    coursework assignments, presentation assignments, exams and
    tests.
    b) Assessments are administrated in an appropriate and professional
    manner.
    c) Assessments are marked and graded fairly.
    d) Results of all assessments to be submitted to the leadership team
    in at in a timely manner.
    e) Certificates and progress reports to be completed to a high
    standard and submitted in a timely manner.

    3) Student /parent
    support. Provide
    student/parent/
    sponsor feedback and
    actively encourage and
    motivate students to
    progress.
    a) Develop professional, appropriate and positive teacher—
    parent/ student relationships.
    b) Offer support, advice and guidance when
    required regarding attendance,
    punctuality, behaviour, language skills,
    study skills, homework etc. to
    students/parents.


    • Observations at the BLC, in the class-room,
    before, during and after class.


    • Supervision/discussions.
    4) Promoting cultural
    understanding
    between the UK and
    Bahrain.
    c) Reference is made to the UK whenever opportunities arise through
    the curriculum or course material.
