    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will provide a detailed technical and commercial service in coordinating Mechanical and Tank Repair Project and Routine Works (Investment and Expense) from inception to completion.Key Accountabilities
    • Provide guidance and advice to Tank Repair Supervisors to ensure that on site mechanical works are performed to the highest standards and to ensure compliance with the Company's Standards and Specifications
    • Review RED repair work lists/Engineering drawings and to prepare technical and tender specifications for mechanical maintenance works to ensure that all works will comply with the Company's Standards and Specifications
    • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for all works to ensure that the Company's Purchasing procedures are applied correctly
    • Ensure that all the works required as per RED, Engineering and Owner work lists are completed in order that the equipment can be put back in service in a reliable and safe condition
    • Ensure that Contractor Quality Management Systems are reviewed and approved and that they are being used and are being applied effectively in order that all necessary site reports and approvals are completed in accordance with the company's standards
    • Prepare cost estimates for project works for management approval and will verify and ensure that contractors tendered costs are acceptable in order that the company is achieving best value and working within budget limits
    • Monitor all costs on works and prepare reports for management to ensure that estimates are not exceeded in order that the company budgets are maintained at approved levels
    • Carry out frequent site visits to ensure that contractors work safely and in accordance with the Company's EHS regulations
    • Develop and maintain existing and new procedures and guidelines for works being done, to ensure that Company Standards and industry best practices are applied
    • Endorse contractor time sheets as first/second approver in CMM as required to ensure that only applicable costs are charged
    • Review and approve contractor stocks issue material requests to ensure that only necessary materials are issued to minimize overall cost and wastage
    Requirements
    • BSc./HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Petrochemical/Oil and Gas industry; 5 years of which should be in a Contract/Project Engineer position on Tank Construction/Maintenance works
    • Sound knowledge and experience of administering and controlling contracts from tendering through to completion of works
    • Sound knowledge of HSE and QA/QC requirements within the Oil Refining and Petrochemical industries
    • Very good communication skills and the ability to manage contractors on the Company's behalf
    • Very good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
    • Hold a full valid driving licence
