Job Summary
- Teach graduate courses in natural resources management including; advanced environmental pollution (NREDE 734), ecosystem biogeochemistry (NREDE 735), climate change adaptation and mitigation (NREDE 736), environmental pollution (NREES 533), integrated environmental assessment (NREES 536), disasters and risk management (NREEM 527), environmental modeling (NREDE 724), environmental policy making (NREEM 524), and environmental geology (NREES 522).
- Supervise master and doctorate degrees thesis in the specified domain.
- Develop integrated research in the specified themes and issues of urban environment, and climate change.
- Establish training and workshop programs in climate change polices, adaptation and mitigation programs and initiatives.
QualificationPh.D. from a reputable university in one of the following specialization:
- Air and atmospheric pollution
- Environmental chemistry
- Environmental and natural system modeling/Air/climate change modeling
- Pollution control and abatement
Preferred Qualifications & ExperienceCandidates applying for these positions should fulfill the following criteria:
- No less than eight years of experience after receiving the PhD in one of the corresponding specialized fields.
- International publication track in the corresponding field.
- Teaching experience in related fields at the postgraduate level.
- Proven record of supervising Master / Doctorate Degree's thesis in the fields of specialties.
- Extensive experience in management and implementation of related research projects as well as lab management.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.
Special Knowledge Required- Experience with Hybridoma and cell lines culture for recombinant protein and antibody production
- Experience in all aspects of upstream process development including Media Prep, Inoculum Prep, Bioreactor and Harvest activities and Buffer Prep.
- A proven hands-on experience in transfection of mammalian cell lines, confocal microscopy, ELISA, IHC and signal transduction.
- Candidate must successfully complete the interview process, including a teaching demonstration and a research seminar.
